Company Registration FAQs

Common questions about registering a company in South Africa

To register a PTY LTD company in South Africa, you need to submit a CoR15.1A form to CIPC (Companies and Intellectual Property Commission) along with certified copies of directors' IDs and proof of address. You'll also need to reserve a company name. Procon handles the entire process on your behalf, from name reservation to final registration, typically completed within a few business days.

CIPC registration fees for a private company (PTY LTD) start from around R125 for the name reservation and R175 for the company registration itself. Additional costs may apply for MOI amendments and other documentation. Procon offers all-inclusive fixed-fee packages that cover the full registration process, documentation, and compliance setup.

Every registered company in South Africa must file an annual return with CIPC. It is due within 30 business days after the anniversary of the company's registration date. Failure to file annual returns can lead to penalties, the company being flagged as non-compliant, or even deregistration. Procon tracks your deadlines and handles all annual return submissions.
